There was glorious celebration in Fenway Park tonight as Clay Buckholz pitched a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles. It was his second major-league start. I'm pretty sure they said that it was the first no-no by a rookie in Red Sox history. The headline on the Red Sox website calls it "Feat of Clay." Hehehe....
He gave up three walks and struck out 9, one of which was the final out, who struck out looking.
Dustin Pedroia made a heroic save in the top of the 7th, as he made a diving stop behind second base and hurriedly threw out Tejada at first.
Papi and Youk both drove in three runs as the Sox won 10-0. And boy did they need this after losing 4 in a row.
Racecar, I don't know if you still read this, but did you see that?? I hope so.
TTFN, y'all!
