So Japan won the big WBC.
Good on them.
WBC means "World Baseball Classic," for those of you who don't know that.
Japan is the true World Champion of baseball.
I was kind of hoping Cuba would win, what with all the controversy about letting them play in the first place.
Point is...there were only two professional players on the Japanese team! TWO!! Hahaha...
The Red Sox traded Bronson Arroyo to the Cincinnati Reds. For a guy named Wily Mo Pena. Wily Mo??? What kind of a name is Wily Mo??
Bronson was going to the bull pen, but may have a chance to start for the Reds. I still hate to see him go. I always liked Bronson. I felt he was instrumental in the 2004 season, when they won the Whirl Serious. (Anyone who read "Pogo" in days gone by might remember that.) But he'll have to BAT!! Aaaugh!!
Somehow, we need to get both leagues doing the same thing with designated hitters.
TTFN, y'all!
